By codifying Monica Helms’ iconic 1999 Transgender Pride design directly into the city's official flag family, the city ensured the banner could legally fly outside City Hall and across public parks alongside the traditional \u003ca title=\"Salt Lake City Flag\" href=\"https:\/\/flagsforgood.com\/products\/salt-lake-city-flag\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eSalt Lake City flag\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe design seamlessly blends local identity with global transgender solidarity. In the upper hoist corner sits the white and gold sego lily, the official emblem of Salt Lake City that represents beauty and resilience in harsh conditions.
